Learn Japanese by building a house.
Japanese is built like a house: words are the foundation, grammar is the frame, kanji are the bricks. So we made it one. Learn with Hana the barista one shift a day, build a home from what you learn, and keep it all with reviews that stick. At 18 and up, your account opens Hana's Discord café too.
Save your lot. We'll email you the day the doors open.

いえの ちず · the big idea
Japanese is built like a house. So we made it one.
Nobody learns a language all at once. You lay words like foundation stones, raise grammar like beams, and stack kanji brick by brick. Skip the foundation and everything wobbles. Build it in the right order and it holds you up for life.
In YattaHouse every skill is a real part of a real house: one you build, decorate and live in. Look at your house and you can see your Japanese, gaps and all.

しくみ · how it works
Learn, earn, build, review
Four little steps every day. You learn at the café, take your materials home, build your house, then keep it all fresh with quick reviews. The house keeps changing, so it never gets old.
- 一いち · learnWork a shift at Hana's caféEach lesson is one shift at the counter (15–30 minutes, shown on every lesson card): new words, a bit of grammar, a few kanji, then a real conversation with Hana, out loud.
コーヒーですか?Coffee?いいえ、おちゃです。No, tea please. · you, out loud - 二に · earnEarn materials for what you learnedEvery skill pays out its own material. Words become stones, grammar becomes beams, kanji become bricks. Hana wraps them in a furoshiki cloth for the walk home.

なぜ · why it works
Cozy on the outside. Solid learning underneath.
No magic and no "fluent in 30 days." Just a few habits that are proven to help languages stick, wrapped in something you'll look forward to.
- はなすYou speak from day one
Speaking is a skill, not a prize for later. You say every line out loud and answer Hana at the counter, with feedback right away.
- ふくしゅうReviews come back right before you'd forget
Spaced reviews bring each word and kanji back just as it starts to fade, so it sticks for good instead of just until the quiz.
- まぜるSkills are mixed, not stacked
A new word comes back as listening, then reading, then speaking, all in one lesson. It feels a bit harder in the moment and sticks far better.
- みえるYou can see your progress
Your house is a map of your Japanese. You always know what you've built and what to work on next.
- まいにち すこしA little every day beats a cram
One shift, one new piece of house. Spaced reviews and a weekly rhythm reward steady weeks, not marathon sessions.
- なかまCompany when you want it
The site stays calm and just yours. Any account 18 and up, free or paid, can meet other learners in Hana's Discord café whenever they like.
なかま · hana's discord

やさしい ルール · kind rules
Made for anyone who's quit Japanese before
Life happens. YattaHouse is built so a missed week never costs you what you learned.

Miss a week and a little ivy grows on the walls. Nothing gets torn down, and you pick up right where you left off.

Pick a weekly rhythm instead of a fragile daily streak. Accuracy counts, not six-hour binges.

Even on the free plan, you can always review everything you've learned. Your Japanese stays yours.
